Hope’s Dawn-Travel through space

The Hope’s Dawn was a massive transport ship designed to travel lightyears to find a habitable planet.

The ship was divided into 5 sectors, in the center was the command deck, a large sphere in the center of the other four sector. Each sector has its own life support systems and food production.

Command Deck- The command deck held half a million civilians. It was struck in a meteor shower rendering the ship’s flight systems inoperable and killing the vast majority of its residents. This caused most of the routes between sectors to forcibly close to prevent the rest of the ship from imploding.

Section One: The Hand of Dawn- A deck made up of mostly military personnel was 1.5 million strong before the meteor struck, in the aftermath of the devastation nearly 700,000 lives were lost before they were able to seal their sector off from the others. They have since been in a perpetual state of Martial law, ruled over by Martial Lord Damien Kaine with an iron fist.

Sector Two: Hope’s Lament- This sector was mainly civilians and was destroyed in the impact leaving over 98% of its 2 million inhabitants dead instantly with the remaining percentage following close behind. The section is unlivable and unnavigable.

Sector Three: The Devout- Lead Onathael Wrynnaius, a religious figure head whose forefather created The Celestial Parade, a religion that promises an end to the long journey through space using faith and devotion to the churches’ leaders. This 1.6 million strong sector took the least damage from the impact. Since then their leaders have become fanatical, an aristocracy has formed with religious leaders being waited on hand and foot by the lower classes. Parts of the meteor scattered throughout the sector have been found to contain highly rare materials.
